According to the Papermasters.com website, the company has provided writing services to customers for 18 years. The stated focus of this writing service is solely on college and graduate school research papers; however, by accessing to the “What we do” link, the company obviously does more, including most types of academic writing, admissions essays, and business/professional writing. In preparing this review, we have looked at all of the standard features and factors that we do for all writing services evaluations – a full study of the website content, testimonials posted on the website, writing samples if they are available, customer reviews we find off-site, prices, perks and benefits, information about writers, our own experience with customer support, and the quality of a research paper we order. Our final Paper Masters rating is based on the following:

Website Quality

The Papermasters site opens with a three-column explanation of the main types of products offered, benefits to customers, and background information. Within this content there are a large number of links taking a visitor to more information. The four main inks at the top of the page do the same, along with smaller, barely visible links at the very top. Navigation is a bit confusing and cumbersome, accessing links and then returning to the original page to access even more. We had a difficult time finding testimonials, for example, because they were found by access a small link within content on the “Prices” page. We wonder if visitors become as confused as we did.

Quality of Products and Services

Quality written work can only come from qualified writers. According to Papermasters.com, all writers have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, but most of its 70 writers have Master’s in their fields. Those with Master’s are certainly qualified to produce research papers for undergrads, but a Bachelor’s degree is “pushing” it. Further, doctoral level work should really be completed by Ph.D.’s.

• We did find three testimonials on the Paper Masters site that spoke to the high level of quality and service.
• Off-site reviews were found on both other review sites and on social media, and those reviews are mixed – from “terrible” to “adequate,” to “good.” Complaints related to quality of resources and writing style.
• The paper we received could be described as “adequate” as well. We expected more scholarly resources for a third-level undergrad work, and did note several grammatical errors. Transitions between paragraphs and sections were rough.
• There is also a link for writers to apply for positions. Through that link and by speaking with the customer service department, we discovered that we needed only to submit a resume and could then begin to accept orders. Writers access the listing of orders and select the ones they wish; they are not assigned based upon their specific qualifications.

We do believe that there are some flaws in this service – employing Bachelor’s degree writers for college level work and lack of control over who takes an order – but certainly Papermasters is not a fraud or scam. Its parent company, E World Publishing, does have a BBB membership, but this writing agency does not.

Prices and Discounts

Paper Masters’ prices are high for the industry. They begin at $23.95/page for undergraduate work and graduate up to $34.95/page for Master’s level orders. The company’s justification is that qualified writers will not work for less. On the writer application page, however, we discovered that writers receive between $8 and $15/page for their work. The company obviously realizes high profits.

There are no discounts, special pricing coupon codes, or any statement about offering a discount promo code for new customers or on special occasions.

Extra Features

We could not find any extra features; however, we were not charged extra for our title and reference page, and the company states that revisions will be completed within 24 hour of the request, for free in most instances.

Conclusion

In assessing pros & cons, we can say that this company produces research products and delivers them on time. Among the cons, however, are the prices and the educational requirements for writers who will be working on graduate-level projects. Students can probably find the same quality at a lower price with many other companies.
