Essaylib.com is a writing service, focused primarily on the offering of academic writing products and services for students at all levels of study. According to its website, the company has been in business since 2008.

This review has been prepared in the same fashion as all of reviews, using the same criteria and evidence – information, content, policies, and testimonials on the company website, pricing and other benefits, the results of a search for customer reviews elsewhere on the web, our experiences with the customer support department, and the quality of both product and service through our evaluation of a research paper we ordered and received. This review is the result of all of these factors.

Website Quality

The site is organized with a home page that lists every type of writing product and service Essay Lib offers. Every type of academic assignment is listed. Standard pricing per page, dependent upon academic level, is also shown.

Links to other pages are clearly visible at the top of the home page.

Several customer testimonials are published along the side rail of every page. These are the same testimonials we have found on several other websites, so it is difficult to know for which writing service these have been written.

Grammar and writing style are straightforward and simple.

Quality of Products and Services

This is the “meat” of our reviews, because this is the most important aspect of any writing service to customers. To determine quality, we have to investigate what customers say, as well as comment on our own experience. Here is what we have found:

• On-site testimonials are all quite complimentary, as expected. As mentioned above, however, these testimonials are also present on other sites we have reviewed.
• Customer comments and feedback published in other places are quite mixed. It appears that high school students who order basic essays are satisfied. College and graduate level students, however, are not. Issues range from unresponsive customer service to poor research and writing quality, to difficulty getting revisions made when requested.
• Our experience was similar to the concerns expressed by college level customers. We contacted customer service, speaking to an individual who was difficult to understand. She also did not seem to have detailed answers and kept referring us to the FAQ page of the website. during one of our contacts, we were told that an original Ph.D. dissertation could be completed in full in 14 days – impossible.
• The product we received from Essaylib was not of the quality level we would expect for upper level undergraduate work. Style was too simple, and resources were not of a scholarly level we expected. The paper would have been appropriate for a high school student.

We did receive our paper on time, and most customers state the same. And we were able to message our writer during the process. We can therefor say that Essaylib.com is not a fraud or scam.

We were unable to find a BBB membership or any type of rating.

Prices and Discounts

Prices fall within the upper average range – we ordered an 8-page upper university level, with a deadline of 7 days, for $144.00. we paid this full price because we could find no new customer discount or promo code. In fact, there is none, as we discovered.

Discounts are available to returning customers, dependent upon how much they have spent. Coupon codes are provided those who have spent $500 or more, total. Discounts are posted on the link for pricing.

An additional concern we have for pricing: Cost per page is only a factor of academic level and deadline. There are no distinctions between the cost-per-page of a basic essay and a major research paper. We find this hard to believe.

Extra Features

Essaylib offers many of the same features as other writing agencies – free title, bibliography, and table of contents pages, free revisions within the terms of their policy, and a free plagiarism check.

For an additional $5, a customer may review three pages of copy that their assigned writer has produced in the past and may then request another writer if not satisfied.

There is a blog on the Essaylib.com site, but most of the entries are sample essays and papers that their writers have produced. We reviewed several of these. Many are also found on other writing websites, and most are also rather simplistic in nature.

Conclusion

Essaylib is a legitimate writing service. Beyond that, however, we do have some concerns. For example, how is it that a qualified writer is willing to be paid the same for a basic essay and a research work, given the difference in the amount of work to create the latter. As well, we see concerns with quality of product. After looking at all of the pros & cons, we are assigning a rating of only “Fair” to this service.
