During that time, the company has produced thousands of writing products for its customers. This review is provided so that consumers may have objective information about their products and services before making a purchasing decision. As with all of our reviews, we have used the same criteria and looked at the same input – the content on the Custom Writings site, including their products, services, samples, and testimonials, their customer support function, customer reviews that we have found on other sites and social media, pricing, and any unique features or benefits. Our goal is to ensure that writing services we recommend are trusted and reliable and provide a level of quality that customers should expect for their money.

This review is the result of all of our assessment.

Website Quality

The CustomWritings site is relatively well-organized, although the landing page is crowded with a great deal of content that can be a bit confusing. The links at the top of the page take viewers to other important pages on the site, and there are a number of footer pages at the bottom speaking to specific writing products. There is also a section of samples from their writing staff.

Orders are calculated as they are submitted, and there are written policies found in footer pages. Some of the landing pages reflect English grammar errors, and that is a bit of a concern.

There is a link that speaks to its writers and the fact that they are both ENL and ESL. We appreciate the honesty, s many writing services promise only ENL writers when this is not the case. However, the company insists that all of its writers are experts in English composition and that products are reviewed for quality and plagiarism before being delivered to a customer.

Quality of Products and Services

Custom Writings is primarily an academic writing service, although we did find in the footers some links related to business writing.

We determine the quality of products based upon Custom Writings customer reviews about the products they received, and, in the case of this company, writing samples the company has posted on its site. 

In general, we must state that quality is, in many instances, certainly at least average, as evidenced by the following:

• Sample writings on the Customwritings.com site were appropriately written, although there were some common word usage errors made by ESL writers. We reviewed two samples, one an argumentative essay about lowering the voting age to 13 and one about online education. We were disappointed that the essay on online education only spoke to free coursework and Khan Academy. Today, numerous college degree programs that are offered solely online, and these should have been addressed as well. The paper on lowering the voting age only had a couple of cited resources, and the topic itself was a bit curious. While there is research that suggests lowering the voting age to 16, no one is advocating the age of 13.

• Customer reviews were generally positive, stating that they were able to provide detailed instructions that were then followed. They also stated that they were able to ask for revisions through their personal account pages. A few customers did state that deadlines were missed, usually because they needed revisions.

In terms of quality of service, we did contact the customer support department on two occasions with both general and specific questions. Agents were friendly and helpful and did their best to answer our questions. When they were not certain, they advised that we go ahead and place an order and discuss details with our assigned writer.

All in all, we can state that CustomWritings.com is a legal and trustworthy company.

Prices and Discounts

We found prices to be about in the high-average range. A basic high school essay with a 14-day deadline is priced at $14 per page. Obviously, prices increase based upon academic level, the type of product, length, and deadline specification. As an example, an 8-page college level paper with a 7-day deadline will run about $128.00.

There were no advertised discounts, with related coupon or promo codes. We did find a link to discounts in small print on a footer page. The way to get a discount is to contact customer service and to ask for one. The usual discount is about 7%, and repeat customers are provided discounts based upon the number of orders and pages they accumulate. 

Payment methods are through the standard means – major credit cards and PayPal. CustomWritings does use a secured third-party payment processor, so customers can feel safe providing their financial information. And it should be mentioned that, by policy and actual practice, personal information is encrypted and never shared with other parties. 

Extra Features

CustomeWritings.com offers the standard free features – title page, bibliography, formatting, and plagiarism checks. There are also free revisions, according to company written policy. Customers are urged to read through the policies so that they have a complete understanding of their rights and responsibilities. If a product is lengthy and complex, customers can also request progressive delivery of drafts and pay for them in installments as well.

Conclusion

Custom Writings is a legal and reliable writing service. There are a few issues with quality, as evidenced by the samples and a few customer reviews. Quality seems to depend upon the specific writer assigned. All in all, we have assigned a rating of 4, on a scale of 1 – 5.
