Introduction

Affordablepapers.com is a Hong-Kong based, 13-year old writing service – one of the older companies we know of. We have accumulated a lot of information about Affordable Papers but have not conducted a full review until now. In doing this, we have looked at several things:

• The content and structure of the AffordablePapers website

• Customer testimonials published on the site

• Customer reviews that have come to us and that we have found out on the web

• Quality of samples published on the site

• Our evaluation of a college research paper we ordered

• Quality of customer support

All of these things are summarized below.

Products and Services

AffordablePapers.com focuses on academic writing support for students at all levels of study. These are specified in a link titled “Our Services” on the home page. And, when students get to the order form, even more specific options are available. In short, students can find any type of assignment they might need, as well as editing and proofreading and admissions essays.

Website Quality

The Affordablepapers.com website loads quickly and is nicely designed. There are links at the top of the homepage that take visitors to all of the information they may need about the company, its writers, samples, etc. There are links to their policies at the bottom of the page, as well as to samples and its blog.

Quality of Product and Services

Much of quality is dependent upon the writers that a company employs. Affordable Papers is honest about where its writers come from – many places all over the globe, in fact. But it insists that writers are rigorously screened through English grammar tests and samples that they must submit. It boats over 500 writers on its staff.

But quality can only be judged by the actual product. And that is what we were interested in. Given that, we have this to share:

1. The website content, while well-structured, is filled with English grammar mistakes, and we wonder if the same writers that produce the writing have composed this too. Not a good sign.

2. Affordable Papers customers that have submitted feedback to use have not been happy with the product quality of their orders.

3. A look at the writing samples on the site reveals big issues. For example, one piece was published as a case study at the college level. The topic was the pay gender gap in the U.S. It was a three-page summary of some examples ofthe pay gap and a brief summary of some legislation. It was not a case study, and certainl,y no professor would have accepted it as such.

4. The blog has some interesting topics but, again, the English grammar is not great.

5. The paper we received was mediocre at best and contained some of the same grammatical errors we found in samples and the blog. It would have needed lots of revision before being submitted.

Overall, our rating of product quality is sub-standard.

We did however receive our order on time as did other customers who commented on that. And so, we can say that AffordablePapers is not a fraud or scam.

The lack of a BBB membership is also of concern, but if such membership existed, we are also certain that there would be complaints.

Prices and Discounts

Prices are about average for the industry, if not a bit lower. A high school student can get a piece of writing for $9/page with a 10-day time frame. At the university level, prices go up to $32/page with shorter deadlines. There is no pricing for graduate level work, but customer service will price it when contacted.

We could find no discounts or promo code for such on the site. However, we were told by customer support that these could be requested for large or complex orders and that we would be given coupon codes for these.

Extra Features

Affordable Papers guarantees plagiarism-free writing, unlimited revisions, and on-time delivery, as well as free title and bibliography pages. Customers can choose to upgrade their orders during the ordering process, for fees.

Conclusion

We try to be objective as we look at pros & cons of writing services we review. In the case of Affordable Papers, we can say that the website is structured well and that their promise of on-time delivery is largely met. Beyond that, however, we have to look at quality as the primary factor, because that is what customers are looking for. Frankly, it just isn’t there. We would not recommend this service.
